T-Shirts (USA Women's Team)

I don't have this shirt yet, but it is on its way.  The 2008 USA Women's National Team is selling shirts to raise money for this years Worlds in Monte Cucco, Italy.  Get one before they're gone and support the US team.

T-Shirts (Wallaby Ranch)

This image is one of my favorite hang-gliding paintings.  I used this as a computer background for a couple years.  (This is another painting by Lori at Wallaby Ranch.  I posted another one earlier.)

T-Shirts (Elmira)

Here is an older shirt from the Elmira, New York area.  There is a lot of soaring associated with Elmira, including The National Soaring Museum at Harris Hill.  There is a short story originally published in Time magazine in 1932 that talks about breaking the national record of 10.9 miles with a 38 mile flight.

T-Shirts (VHGA)

This shirt is from one of my home clubs, the Vermont Hang Gliding Association.  Needless to say, with all the dairy farming and dairy-based industry in Vermont, (Ben and Jerry's Ice Cream, cheese makers, etc), we have dairy cattle in some of our LZs.

T-Shirts (Flytec)

This colorful shirt is one of the few I own that solely promotes Flytec.  Many of my competition-related shirts have Flytec somewhere on the shirt because Flytec USA has been a loyal supporter of competitions big and small here in the U.S.A.  I'm a big fan of the service Steve provides and I can't wait to fly with my new 6030 when my arm heals.

T-Shirts (TTT)

I have many fond memories of flying with the Tennessee Tree Toppers in Dunlap Tennessee.  I had my first out-landing there years ago during my first Team Challenge. I made it to the next 6 events but have not been back since the year I convinced everyone in New England to attend. As Rob put it "it was the worse flying trip ever but at the same time the best camping trip ever!" We had 11 days of cool beautiful crystal-clear blue days without a hint of wind or lift. If I had been able to fly I would have joined the fun this past fall.

The club is raising money to update the famous radial ramp at Henson's Gap. More information is available on their web site.

T-Shirts (Wallaby Ranch)

This shirt always reminds me of warmer end-less days, especially as the snow piles up outside during the short days of winter.

T-Shirts

I bought this shirt intending to give it to someone that "impressed me" with their landing. However, I felt uncomfortable giving it someone that had the unfortunate luck (skill?) to truly earn it.

T-Shirts (Stanwell Park)

Looking like something from Monty Python's Flying Circus comes a fun shirt I picked up at Stanwell Park, NSW, Australia. I always have fun there and so do others as you can see in this video on YouTube. The instructors are great and now include Curt at Warren Windsports. (Curt still holds the New England flex distance record).

T-Shirts (Bogong Cup)

Following up on the Australia theme, here is a shirt from the Bogong Cup in 2005.

T-Shirts (Moyes)

Each pilot flying a Moyes glider got a sweet shirt at the 2005 world's in Hay, NSW, Australia. This is one of my current favorites.

T-Shirts (Ellenville)

I had my first low save, non-ridge-based thermal climb, and trip to cloud base at the national fly-in at Ellenville in 1994. I was 200 feet over the house near the LZ, bumped into something, started turning, and climbed until the sun was blocked out. Thousands of climbs later and I can still remember the thrill of escaping the LZ and marveling at my great height at the top of that climb.

T-Shirts (Ellenville)

Roger is the not only artist at Ellenville. This is a painted t-shirt that could be framed and mounted on the wall. (At least before I wore it out!)
