T-Shirts (Quest Air)

I usually travel to Florida to meet spring's northward march but this year I can only read the daily weather forecasts and dream at my desk in Massachusetts. I really enjoy shaking off winter's cobwebs with the mellow thermals and comfortable XC terrain that Florida offers.

Carbon Bones

I'm totally bummed. Instead of all this old-school metal in my arm I could have had carbon nanotubes and been "carbonized" like my glider. Um, maybe I should snap my arm in two and have it redone. (I would have been better off if it was redone earlier. Sigh.)

T-Shirts (Chelan)

This was a favorite of mine for a couple years before I wore it out. I wasn't there but bought one to support the team. (You can support the 2008 team and get a T-shirt to boot.)

T-Shirts (Pac-Air)

My first glider was a Pacific Airwave Vision Mark IV. I climbed in my first thermal and broke my 5 hour soaring threshold on that glider. The Pulse was the successful follow-up model.

T-Shirts (Wills Wing)

This will be the first year in many that I will miss the spring Wills Wing fly-in and demo days at Wallaby Ranch. All my homies are making travel plans, checking gear, and packing for "fun in the sun". There is no other event that I know of in the U.S.A. where you can stop by and demo every size of every model that a manufacturer produces. Top that off with dinner followed by a party and you have a guaranteed recipe for a good time.
